The property left behind by the late Nigerian singer and popular music producer, Babatunde Okungbowa widely known as OJB Jezreel seems to be the cause of the disintegration in the family in recent times.
A source close to the family hinted that the aged father of the late music icon Chief Anthony Okungbowa has ordered the widow and the singer’s eldest wife, Mabel, to vacate the house.
The development which is gradually degenerating in the family sources disclosed led the widow to place a notice on the Surulere, Lagos apartment with the inscriptions “This House is Not for Sale”
The source who said It remains unclear why their misunderstanding degenerated to the point where a father-inlaw and his daughter-in-law would be at dagger drawn maintained that Pa Okungbowa asked Mabel, to release OJB’s children to remain on the premises while she vacates the premise which holds a four-bedroom flat bungalow and a duplex.
However, it was gathered that the late music icon inherited the house from his late mother, Mrs. Abiodun Okungbowa nee Pinheiro and renovated the said house to his taste where he lived with his three wives until his death in June 2016 due to renal failure, but Pa Okungbowa claimed the singer’s late mother built the house belonging to him.
Mabel who had two children for the late artiste, Ayokunle and Tolani; who was said to have donated one of her kidney to OJB when he first had Kidney failure, is the only wife remaining in the house while the other two has since vacated the house.
